Advice for Norfolk Island residents

Documents of Identity to facilitate travel between Norfolk Island and other Australian destinations are no longer required.

Norfolk Island residents travelling to and from other Australian destinations should consult with the airline on identity or travel documents required to facilitate check-in.  Australian citizens residing on Norfolk Island who require an Australian travel document for travel to other countries must apply and pay for an Australian passport.

From 1 July 2016, passport applications must be lodged in person at the new Australia Post office in the P&R grocery store at 6 Taylors Road.  Applications must be made on a Form PC1 (Application for an Australian Passport - Adult) or a Form PC4 (Application for an Australian Passport - Child), NOT a Form PC8 (Application for an Australian Passport - Overseas).

Australia Post opening hours on Norfolk Island are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturdays.  Call 23474 for an appointment.
