Replacing passports lost or damaged in Cyclone Debbie

The Australian Passport Office is currently replacing free of charge valid Australian passports that have been lost or damaged as a result of the floods caused by Tropical Cyclone Debbie, which occurred in Queensland and northern New South Wales on 28-31 March 2017.  To request a replacement passport please call the Australian Passport Information Service on 131 232 in the first instance.  The replacement passport will have the same expiry date as the lost/damaged passport.  In most circumstances, passports require at least two years remaining validity to be replaced free of charge.
