Reporting lost or stolen passports

Do not use this facility to report that your passport has been lost or damaged in a natural disaster. Instead, please call the Australian Passport Information Service (APIS) on 131 232.

If you have requested your passport be sent to you via registered post to an address in Australia, it should arrive within six business days of receiving the email from the Passport Office advising your passport is ready.

If after six business days your passport has not arrived, please call the Australian Passport Information Service (APIS) on 131 232 for assistance. APIS will be able to provide a tracking reference which you can use to track the delivery of your passport at auspost.com.au.
