You can use this facility to:
- track the progress of your passport application;
- pay the additional fee if you wish to upgrade to priority service. (This option is not available at all stages of processing; if you have any questions, please call the Australian Passport Information Service – APIS – on 131 232.)
You can use this facility only after you have lodged your application. You will need to quote the form number printed on your receipt.
If you provided an email address on your application form, we will send you an email when your passport is ready for despatch/collection.
Unless you make arrangements to collect your passport, we will post it to you by registered mail. Depending on your location, it may to take up to one week to arrive.
If you suspect that your passport has been delayed in the mail, and it has been more than a week since you were notified about its issue, please call APIS to report this. You will need to quote the form number shown on your receipt, and answer some security questions.
