For Australians who cannot visit an embassy or consulate in person due to local conditions, we have set up temporary digital upload arrangements in some locations.
Australians in the following countries may be eligible to apply online for passport renewals or child passports:
- Iraq
- Israel
- Kuwait
- Lebanon
- Qatar
- United Arab Emirates.
If your passport expires within the next 6 months, you should consider renewing it. Many countries may not allow you to enter, transit or board a plan if your passport has less than 6 months validity.
